Saturday I managed to do a long run (18 miles) and despite the calf and hip niggling went okay. Did it averaging 7:35/mile.
HR was better and felt I could have gone on. Need to start thinking about tapering I think. It is frightening to think that it is just four weeks away now. Keeping off injuries is the priority.
Sunday I went out with the club, and as the first day of the Hardriders Time Trial, there were few of the usual crew out. I therefore got quite a decent low-HR ride, doing a measured 43.3 miles (nearer to 45 I think in reality, I must calibrate the Polar with that wheel!) I was expecting a wet one, but even ended up with sunshine.
