Today I rode to work (St Albans to Shoreditch) for the first time. A rather early start, but I met J at the appointed time & place – lights required. The first hour of the journey is through countryside, then it goes into town and slows down a lot. Going early is worth it as the traffic is the biggest hazard. The Garmin shows the distance as 39.67km and the time as 1:34. (Av temp -0.6!)
There are obviously many possible routes, this one is pleasant on the first half, but will be difficult to remember the second half.
Oh, and I have to ride home yet!
